Demolition of the Church of San Pietro in Piazza Grande

This period drawing depicts the demolition of the Church of San Pietro in Piazza Grande in Trieste, which occurred in March 1871, in a drawing by Carlo Rieger. The drawing shows workers at work and curious citizens, while the famous rose window, later transferred to the Church of Barcola, dominates the scene.
