Historic photo from 1934 of Via delle Beccherie in Trieste, showing the now-lost section. On the left, the arch led into Via Stretta toward Piazza Vecchia; the first side street is Via del Ponte, still existing. The narrow lane, lined with shuttered façades and pedestrians, bends toward Via Malcanton, then under restoration.
