Fountain in the Miramare Gardens

Fountain in the Miramare Gardens
The circular fountain in the gardens of Miramare Castle, photographed by Giuseppe Wulz in 1874. At the centre of the basin stands a sculptural group depicting a putto with a swan, typical of the nineteenth-century ornamentation of the park created by Archduke Maximilian. In the background, the castle can be glimpsed through the lush vegetation.
