Sant'Andrea Station with tram and horse-drawn carriage
Late 19th-century postcard depicting Sant'Andrea Station in Trieste, the terminus of the Southern Railway line towards Istria. On the left, a tram is stopped displaying an advert for "Cioccolata Lejet", while on the right a coachman waits with his carriage in front of the station canopy, marked "Trieste-S. Andrea". The scene documents the integrated public and private transport system that served the Sant'Andrea district, then on the southern edge of the city.
